Once your car is sold to 603 Auto Salvage, it enters a carefully organized recycling and dismantling process designed to maximize reuse and minimize environmental impact. Every vehicle is logged into our system by VIN number, then moved to our processing area where trained technicians inspect it thoroughly.
First, all fluids such as oil, coolant, fuel, and transmission fluid are drained safely using specialized equipment. These fluids are stored in sealed containers and sent to certified recycling facilities. Next, we remove reusable parts like engines, transmissions, wheels, mirrors, and catalytic converters. These components are tested, cataloged, and made available for resale in our used parts inventory.
After the usable parts are removed, the remaining body shell is stripped of non-metal materials and prepared for metal recycling. The frame and panels are crushed and baled before being shipped to a steel mill for processing into new raw material.
Throughout this process, nothing goes to waste. Even tires, batteries, and plastic components are sent to specialized recycling partners. Your old car essentially becomes the foundation for new products, vehicles, and materials, completing the recycling cycle responsibly.
