Can I request compression test results for an engine?

Yes, you can, and many customers do. We routinely perform compression or leak-down tests on engines before selling them, especially for newer models or engines that are in high demand. If a test has already been done, we keep those results on file and can provide them upon request. Compression testing is an important part of confirming an engine’s health because it measures how effectively each cylinder seals and produces pressure — a key indicator of internal wear.

If an engine hasn’t yet been tested and you’d like verification, we can arrange for a test to be performed before finalizing your purchase. This process involves checking each cylinder’s PSI levels and comparing them against factory specifications. Consistent and strong readings mean the engine is in good shape. If we find any abnormal readings, we disclose that immediately and adjust pricing or offer another option.

For out-of-state customers, we can email or text the test results along with photos of the engine and donor vehicle. This level of transparency helps ensure you’re completely confident before committing to a large purchase.
