Do you pay by scrap weight or part value?

Our offers are based on a combination of both scrap weight and part value. At 603 Auto Salvage, we evaluate every vehicle to determine whether it holds more value as recyclable metal or as a source of reusable components.

For older vehicles that are heavily damaged or stripped, the scrap metal weight makes up most of the offer. We calculate this using current steel and aluminum prices. For newer vehicles or those with working engines, transmissions, or catalytic converters, we include additional value for the parts that can be resold or refurbished.

This hybrid pricing method ensures that every customer receives the highest possible payout for their specific car. We never give flat-rate offers that ignore individual vehicle potential.

Because we operate both as a licensed recycler and a parts supplier, we can extract more value than standard scrap yards — and we pass that benefit directly to our customers through higher offers.
